My car was towed!

On a recent trip home to Melbourne (from London) I decided to take my mum's car on a shopping trip. I'm not used to driving her giant car so I parked it on the road so I didn't have to squeeze into any tight parking spaces. After 2 hours of shopping I came back to see the car wasn't there. My instant reaction was to call the police to report a stolen car...which I did. Then, I read the street sign and noticed the car towing company details. I decided to give them a call and yes they had my mum's car. I had to pick it up the next morning which meant getting my cousin to pick me up to drive me the 50km's home. After paying the $275 tow fine I found another ticket on the windscreen for $150! Most expensive shopping trip ever.
