Speed Freak

I got a god damn fine

The drive from Las Vegas to San Francisco is a long one and we wanted to get though it as quickly as possible so there might have been a possibility that we were a smidgin over the speedlimit.

When the policeman caught up with us he said we'd been past him at 95mph (ooops)

We'd heard that the US police usualy take the money for the fine from you on the spot (or drive you to a cash point) but he just took our details and said someone would be in touch about the fine ... which i think means we're in big trouble !!

We're waiting for the fine to come through now, fingers crossed it's not too bad !

Where the hell did you hear they take your money on the spot? This is NEVER the case. They issue a citation, give you a court date, which is the date you have to pay the ticket by or contest the ticket in court, and send you on your way. They will NEVER take money on the spot unless they're crooked.
