I had a 10 minute meeting scheduled with my resident director. A 10 minute meeting is meant to cover anything we have on our minds or how we are doing with our self paced training. I worked as a Resident Assistant at an assisted living company.
That was the shortest 10 minute meeting ever. My resident director told me that I wasn't working fast enough with passing medications and doing their personal cares on my shift. I had improved but still did not meet the standard.
I don't get how some of the other RA's don't get written up or fired because they are slow. I've seen it happen.
I believe the gal that trained me got me fired. She's one of those know it alls where everything has to be done perfectly her way or else she runs to the boss and complains. She would always tell me to watch my back and cover my ass because others may get me into trouble. What a joke. Here it was her all along that was the mole. She calls herself a Christian, sorry but I differ to believe a Christian would want to try and get someone fired. I think this is so rotten. I would think this if it were someone else that this happened to also. I wish I had some way to prove that when she would mess something up I got the blame. How can someone do that?
Being at this position only 7 months, you would think they would have gotten rid of me earlier. Something else must be going on, I don't know, maybe it's a blessing in disguise.
I will miss the residents very much.
