It was in the first month of school in second grade at lunch. In first grade, our tables were dismissed to dump our trays, so we got up, dumped our trays and lined up to go to recess outside the cafeteria. The new procedure in second grade was to be called up by class and go dump our trays, stackk them and sit back down. There are a double doors right next to the place where we dump and stack our trays, and on one paricular day, I forgot about the new second grade percedure because I tought the other kids were walking out of the cafeteria. So I walked out when everyone sat back down at their tables. I did not know where they went, and, after lunch, we had 5 minutes of silent reading. I went all the way back to the classroom because that is where I thought the class was. I discovered they weren't there and went to the door that we used to go outside to check if they were out at recess. They weren't there, and I did not know where my class was. I went back to the cafeteria to find them there and I was so embarrassed I was probably almost crying. I can't believe I still remember that!
