Surely this kind of thing only happens in the movies?
I get home late at night after the longest craziest day at work. I've got an early start in the morning so am in a rush to see my bed... I jump in the lift, the door seals behind me.. and I push the button for my floor.
... oops... I must've missed the button because nothing's happening... push, push, push.. nothing...
err.... no alarm, no emergency phone, no way out!!!
Panic and claustrophobia set in... I scream, cry, bang on the doors but nothing happens.. But that's not the embarassing bit!
Eventually a neighbour enters the building and we shout through the sealed door for a bit... (But that's not the embarrassing bit either!) He calls the "emergency repairs" number but that doesn't work (surprise).. and so calls the fire brigade who arrive and break down the door.
But even that's not the embarassing bit! (oh, and they were gorgeous by the way).
The embarassing bit was telling them that I only live on the 2nd floor and that I should've taken the stairs.
Oops...
Good news update - I am now cleared of my phobia of lifts
