The Euthanator!
Worst holiday ever
For starters, I work at an animal shelter. I basically clean kennels all day and care for lots of dogs, cats and other assorted pets. Occasionally I am asked to 'assist' in putting to sleep sick, or injured animals as part of my job.
I arrive at my mother's house for a Christmas eve dinner lat year and she had invited several of her 'bingo buddies.' A group of older ladies like her self. When I arrived and entered the house one of the ladies asked "Oh is this Madeline?" (my daughter) my mother's response was very matter-of-fact. She said "No, this is my daughter, she is the one who euthanizes puppies".
Well, no one spoke a word to me that night. Later when recounting the incident my boss laughed because he knows I am not qualified to do that kind of work and said my new name was "The Euthantor" (after Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in his movies "The Terminator").
I can tell my mother is real proud...
